    General / About

PRFM is a..sort of regular DIY event, where record distros, book makers, artists, clothing designers,
djs, junk hoarders, vegan bakers, and many others come together for a day of swapping, sharing, selling
and buying things you won't find in any store. PRFMs in the past have had upwards of 90 vendors, and
    regularly have 50 or so.

The event was founded by Ben Sisto / Honeypump in 2002 as a small swap among friends, and has since
grown to be quite a large-scale opperation. Currently, Kris Palumbo is in charge of operations, as she
brings PRFM to the 2005-2006 Eventworks Festival at Mass Art.

    * Money raised at PRFM will in part become grant-funds for young artists at the college. Our thanks go
out to Kris for giving PRFM a good cause, and to the faculty of Mass Art for their continued support
    of community events.

** This is an all ages event but parents, keep in mind some vendors have sold old Playboy magazines /
vintage pin-up artwork, and other items of a sexual nature. Nothing too over the top, just letting you know,
    because we're good deep down.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Punk Rock Flea Market 5: Rundown

This PRFM was held on Saturday May 28th 2005
at the Massachusetts College of Art Pozen Center, Boston MA
It was produced by Kristen Palumbo with support from Honeypump
and the Massachusetts College of Art's S.I.M. department

    Photos from PRFM5

The event ran from 11:00am - 5:00 PM with a $1.00 door fee*, was all-ages, and hosted hundreds of
patrons from all over New England (and beyond - a raffle winner was from Ohio!). Everything went smooth,
and from talking to some vendors and Kris, it seemed that people did very well!

DJs Matt Breen (WERS / Radio Beat), DJ Comfortable Matt (Dynasty)
Julie Hammers (Redemption), and Ben Sisto (Honeypump) spun LPs all day.

Raffle Winners (TBA) walked away with a bike hand-painted by BECK, and a lot of nearly 30 CDs,
LPs, and DVDs from Mister Records, Load Records, and Brad Wallace.

    * Approx 75% of the door post-expenses went to the Kirsten Malone Memorial Fund at the college.
The fund was set up in memory of Kirsten, who passed away in June of 2004 after a terrible bike accident.
The fund will help pave the way for future female artists for years to come. Kirsten was a vendor at the
first 4 PRFMs, and a good friend to everyone.

The approx donation amount was $800.00 Thank you for your admission donations and for buying
    so many extra raffle tickets!
